The
ISCA kickbox workout is an interval training program
incorporating the sport-specific techniques used in
boxing and kick boxing to provide a high level of
condition of both the aerobic and anaerobic systems of
the body.
This high energy workout incorporates punching, kicking,
footwork, rope jumping, and equipment such as punch
mitts, kick shields, and the heavy bag into a
scientifically designed system to optimize physical
conditioning.
The system uses a series of "nested" intervals so that
variations in intensity are blended with changes in
duration to provide the maximum benefit to each
individual.
This program is a non-contact workout that captures the
excitement of the sport of kick boxing through floor
movement, coordination drills, technique work, and
upbeat music to provide a "ring ambiance" which
motivates and stimulates participants throughout the
class.
